Purpose and goal:

We have created a cross-sector solution to counteract the decline in reading. It is an innovative solution aimed at children, young people and the disabled, which expands, renews and improves reading promotion, participation and inclusion. The solution is already being implemented in the form of physical and digital productions and method materials that live on, are made permanent, launched and spread in long-term cooperation in several sectors nationally.

More people can promote reading and include more target groups, regardless of gender identity, age or functional ability. Expected results and effects:

We have developed new reading promotion methods that give more target groups access to high quality reading and cultural experiences. This has resulted in physical and digital performances that make classic literature available with easy language, sensory tools and gender-creative expressions. The methods are spread through the method material, which expands the reading-promoting inclusion work in Sweden.

It contributes to Global Goals 10; a more equal and sustainable society, where everyone can participate, regardless of gender, functional ability, age, etc. Approach and implementation:

The project was carried out through work meetings, study circles and workshops with pedagogical knowledge transfer and artistic idea development. At each step in the innovation process, tests were carried out with reference groups from the target group, where we collected feedback that was integrated into the project. Based on observations, follow-up and dialogues, pilots were gradually developed and adjusted until they were ready to implement.

The method can be adapted to different needs, which strengthens their attractiveness as assignment-based activities.
