Purpose and goal: ** Denna text är maskinöversatt **
The objectives of the feasibility study were to find out what flex tickets look like at Regionala Kollektivtrafikmyndigheter (RKM) in Sweden, and to find out how RKMs work with needs, motives and development plans for flex tickets or other forms of tickets to meet new travel habits. The feasibility study also aimed to examine needs and requirements from a traveler´s perspective on how tickets can be developed to make it easier for people to make sustainable travel choices.
Expected results and effects: ** Denna text är maskinöversatt **
A questionnaire to RKMs was answered by all RKMs. The results show how they have worked with needs, analysis and follow-up of flex tickets for further development. The questionnaire showed that of Sweden´s 21 RKMs, eleven have introduced flex tickets, three have plans to introduce flex tickets while seven have no plans.
Interviews with a selection of RKMs and travelers showed both problem areas and development opportunities with flex tickets, e.g. price sensitivity, validity in time and space and harmonization between RKMs. Approach and implementation: ** Denna text är maskinöversatt ** A survey of which RKMs in Sweden have flex tickets and do not have flex tickets in their offer.
2. A questionnaire (online) to all 21 RKMs in Sweden about background, motives and objectives with flex tickets, and how they work to meet new travel habits. The questionnaire was answered by all RKMs and provides an important basis for further studies.
3. Interviews with three RKMs and four travelers to investigate how RKMs work with new travel habits, and what experiences, needs and requirements travelers have with new travel habits.
