AI Sweden presence in Canada

Purpose and goal:

AI Sweden´s establishment in Canada is a strategic initiative both fully in line with the bilateral discussions between Sweden and Canada on government and authority level, and an important part of AI Sweden´s international strategy. By connecting and enabling concrete collaborations between the two countries, we will unleash potential and generate great value for Sweden.

AI Sweden´s establishment in Canada will lead to new collaborations between Canadian and Swedish organizations, individual mobility between ecosystems and knowledge transfer in both directions. Expected results and effects: Long-term this program shall contribute to AI Sweden’s mission of accelerating the use of AI in Sweden, and

the wished-for effects that - Sustainable AI driven growth in industry and public organisations - Sweden has a sufficient volume of applied AI expertise, competence and resources - Sweden is attractive for international investment and talent

The establishment of AI Sweden´s in Montreal will lead to increased global cooperation in the Swedish AI ecosystem, increased inflow of AI specific knowledge and strengthen Sweden´s AI profile. Approach and implementation: High-level activities included in the initiative: - Preparations such as setting up the Canadian entity and applying for relevant visa

- Intermediate presence in Canada until all formalities are in place - Full move of our representative to Montreal - Formal inauguration of the collaboration including embassies, agencies, ministries, etc.
