Purpose and goal:

Within the framework of the strategic innovation partnership btw Sweden & France, EIT Health delivered an Accelerator for Swedish start-ups in digital health to boost their international development in the French market. 6 selected start-ups had the opportunity to access the French healthcare ecosystem, develop new cross-border collaborations and accelerate their solution on the French market. The journey began with a 360° need-assessment, create a clear and tailored road map, they received tailor-made support from EIT Health partner network, ranging from HR, strategy, to GDPR.

Expected results and effects:

The 1-year Accelerator programme offered; Deep industry knowledge · International Network, Partnership Building, Access to the French Market. A range of workshops were hosted to deep-dive on matters such as Regulatory Pathways, GDPR, HR, investors insights, and learn more about the French Healthcare system. Overall, the programme enabled the 6 Swedish startups to strengthen bilateral collaborations in Digital Health, and foster tech and business partnership with French companies and institutions. One company releasied that France was not the correct market fit.

Approach and implementation:

Programme design consisted of an “individualised path”, tailored to the individual needs of the start-ups, as they all had differing objectives and priorities. In parallel, the ´´general pathway´´ was also set-up, which met the needs and expectations for all the start-ups and consisted of more general workshops, as well as events attending in France. The implementation of the programme was carried out by EIT Health, with the collaboration between the French and Scandinavian hub.
