Purpose and goal:
The IMPERATIVE project proposal was developed and successfully submitted under the topic HORIZON-CL5-2021-D3-03-02. IMPERATIVE has been conceptualized to address the challenges that the application of hybrid solar technologies into industrial processes faces from the technology development perspective. IMPERATIVE will develop next-generation PVT collectors useful for a wide range of low-temperature industrial applications (60 to 150C).
Expected results and effects: - The final proposal for the IMPERATIVE project was successfully submitted to the EC platform.
- The project assembled a strong and experienced consortium of 13 partners representing universities, research institutes, industry, and SMEs. The project achieves a wide EU geographical coverage since it includes organizations from 8 EU member states, i.e., Sweden, France, Italy, Portugal, Spain, Denmark, Belgium, and Germany.
- The project proposal complies with the expected outcomes required by the Topic. Approach and implementation: IMPERATIVE is a three-year project that will be developed within 7 Work Packages (WP): WP1 Thermal management strategies; WP2 Electric and control strategies; WP3 Synergic thermal and electrical design;
WP4 Conceptualization, testing, and validation; WP5 Impact assessment towards exploitation; WP6 Dissemination, Communication and EU innovation base; WP7 Project Management.
The total effort for the IMPERATIVE project is 355.5 person-months, including permanent personnel and personnel specifically hired for the implementation of the project.
