NEXTHIGH

Purpose and goal:

Project purpose was to promote Swedish participation in Horizon Europe Program. The project´s objectives were to create a Consortium, plan a project according to scope, objective, KPIs and effects defined in the Horizon Europe Program call and apply for funding. RISE together with strong Swedish partners KTH and Woxna Graphite formed Consortium of 16 partners from leading research institutes, universities, small, medium and large companies, coordinated planning of NextHigh project for the development of high voltage lithium-ion batteries in pilot scale and applied for funding.

Expected results and effects:

Results of the project implementation is that RISE together with strong Swedish partners KTH and Woxna Graphite formed Consortium of 16 partners from leading research institutes, universities, small, medium and large companies from 11 countries, coordinated planning of NextHigh project for the development of innovative high voltage lithium ion batteries on a pilot scale and applied for funding of 7.7MEUR for 4-year NextHigh project through Horizon Europe programme. A decision on funding expected in the spring of 2022.

Approach and implementation:

RISE coordinated planning of the NextHigh project through a common collaborative project area, data collection, mediation in workshops, follow-up, communication and reporting. NextHigh project proposal describes objective, method, sharing and management of research results, likely scale and significance of contributions to achieve expected medium-term results and long-term effects including dissemination, exploatation and communication plan.

Proposal contains implementation timeplan with work packages, activities, milestones, deliveries and risks.
