There is also a focus on future business growth for EU high-tech companies in line with EU Afrika´s strategy to develop a green growth model and improve the business environment through innovations for and in Africa.

The result of this project will be a modular business model for collecting plastic waste and processing it into an advanced product.

Ecological Waste treatment, treatment of polluted water and purification processes are also needed. An integrated solution that can handle plastic as well as

other parallel waste streams is needed. In addition to an integrated system, there is a need for strong ecosystem management and a business model that engages all actors in the ecosystem in a long-term project. Develop an overall concept for the collection and recycling of plastics for countries with functioning waste management systems and

countries where waste management does not work. This includes the concept of recycling organic and textile waste which is

esavoidable side streams when collecting plastic from watercourses. Create concrete pilots with proof of concept for the plastic recycling value chain.
