Improving Vision - develop and test MVP (minimum viable product) for people with dyslexia

During the preparatory project, we have developed a first MVP app for smart phones together with VR glasses for our patented training method for the brain´s coordination of eye movements.

We have also this autumn started a limited launch of the app in the form of a Beta Study against schools and individuals in Sweden to gather feedback from customers and the market for our upcoming major project and full-scale commercialisation. The results from the first testers after 6 weeks all show significant improvements in vergence and reading speed.

Expected results and effects:

MVP/Beta are not fully evaluated as not all Beta testers have completed their training and Karolinska Institutet has not had time to complete their studies. Delivering the training as a mobile app with VR glasses has proven to work. We have found that customers are willing to pay for this type of training, both B2C and B2B.

We have early indications that we reach our private customers digitally with paid advertising in an efficient way, and we have deepened our market knowledge. We have a plan for 2.0. A news review shows that we can broaden our patent portfolio and a proposal is being prepared. Approach and implementation:

The project has mainly achieved its main goals by focusing on the different sub-projects.

The scope and complexity of developing a working MVP was slightly greater than planned, specifically to get a completely correct training movement and to be able to stream dual video streams. These two are absolutely fundamental to our offer. The complexity of handling Beta testers remotely also requires more time than expected, even though the number of participants was smaller than planned.

We have learned a lot about VR glasses that fit all customers´ different mobile sizes and possibly glasses.
