System transformation in medtech to meet future healthcare demands

Purpose and goal:

The purpose of the project was to explore the conditions for a collaboration between Elekta, Getinge and the research group on challenges and opportunities in the work of transforming the organizations and the systems within which they operate based on digital innovations. We came to focus on the challenges that result from different governance models.

They are in turn linked to the ambidexterity problem - how organizations succeed in focusing on both the established and the new. The goal was to submit a proposal together in step 2 of the call, which we did in mid-February. Expected results and effects:

The most significant result of the collaboration is a joint proposal sent to Vinnova in mid-February. In addition, the discussions have reasonably created an even higher understanding of the inherent problems that the project is intended to focus on. Approach and implementation: The project was based on interviews and conversations with key people within the organizations involved.
