Digital transformation of finance-related working methods in municipal operations

Purpose and goal:

The long-term goal of the initiative is to build an ability of participating municipalities to collaborate on digital transformation, focusing on digitalisation of economy-related working methods. This objective has been addressed through researcher-led interaction in larger and smaller groups, an analysis of existing related forms of collaboration in Sweden, and a focused research question.

The project has investigated digitalisation challenges and thus brought together researchers and professionals in municipal administration. Shared insights gained have been refined into an ambition for continued in-depth cooperation, which has taken the form of a proposal for continued funding to achieve more permanent and generalizable results.
