Grant Description

Purpose and goal:

The goal of the preliminary study was to develop a knowledge and decision-making basis that enables anchoring, focusing and building a test and demonstration facility for zero-emission contracting, e.g. at cross connection Södertörn. The preliminary study has resulted in a clear compilation of perspectives that provides insight into possible obstacles to implementation as well as some suggestions for models and tools that can continue to be used in the industry to remedy these.

Expected results and effects:

1. We need a common definition of what we consider to be zero emissions, or fossil-free or climate-neutral, which everyone can stand behind and which has consequences if it is carried out systematically.

2. The industry needs three focus changes: (a) from eligibility requirements and specification focus to focus on the right conditions (b) from technology focus to focus on changing the distribution of responsibilities (c) from idea-driven to process-driven system change. 3. We need to develop an ability to support dynamic solution implementation in the industry,

Approach and implementation:

For the preliminary study, which has been ongoing for a year, a number of 20-25 relevant actors were invited for workshops and interviews to collect the group´s challenges, obstacles and opportunities and together develop an anchored basis for zero-emission contracting. The preliminary study has resulted in a clear compilation of perspectives that provides insight into possible obstacles to implementation as well as some suggestions for models and tools that can continue to be used in the industry to remedy these.
