Increased Collaboration in Precision Health between Sweden and California

Purpose and goal:

The aim of promoting collaboration between Sweden and California in precision health has been achieved through the dissemination of information and many contacts made as well as round table discussions carried out. The goal of developing the basis for a continued path forward with Swedish actors has been fulfilled. American actors have contributed and consensus between the groups prevails in several areas.

The goal of collaborations has, through the sidetracks that have arisen, innovation day in Washington, strengthened and expanded collaboration with Stanford, been fulfilled. Expected results and effects:

The project is the start of an internationalization effort in precision health between Sweden and California. From round table discussions areas have been identified for further development. Information about the project has been disseminated and approximately 115 direct contacts have been made.

The contacts and areas form potential basis for the planned implementation project. The sidetracks innovation day in Washington, strengthened and expanded collaboration with Stanford and identified need for financing to start dialogue are expected to contribute further to the result. Approach and implementation:

The project was marketed via digital channels, participation at Sweden Innovation Days and 115 personal contacts, who, in addition to receiving information, were given the opportunity to participate and nominate others. Round table discussion with Swedish participants was held via Zoom and with American participants on site at Stanford. The method worked well.

The project has reached many people, the conversations have led to areas to work on, eg the planned implementation project. Side projects, eg strengthened and expanded collaboration with Stanford, contribute to the goal.
