Purpose and goal:
The project aims to provide organizations that fund or provide welfare services with tools to continuously test, learn and adapt, so that they allocate society´s resources where they are most beneficial and contribute to sustainable welfare. The goals are 1) to design a guide and checklist for transparency, 2) to test the standard, 3) to engage with funders and governing organisations, 4) that funders and other responsible actors request application of the standard, 5) that the standard is perceived as easy to use and adapted to the needs of different organisations and target groups
Expected results and effects:
The vision is that the welfare sector is characterized by a culture where the evidence of what is beneficial for different target groups in relation to consumed resources is applied, developed and spread across sector boundaries and between geographical areas. The expected effect of the project is that organizations measure results in accordance with the standard, and use and share the results in their own operations as well as together with others to learn from each other, thus delivering even greater societal benefits.
Approach and implementation:
The project´s work packages are designed to secure a scientific basis, to work with practical cases to conclude how impact measurement can look like in different welfare areas, to design a guide, disseminate and test. In addition to analytical work to ensure a robust and transparent process around impact measurement, dialogues with various stakeholders will be a central part of the project.
The project will also work closely with the ongoing standardization process, providing input to it´s working groups.
