Purpose and goal:
The aim of the project was to demonstrate that ecological, social and governance (ESG) objective can be managed proactively through the business-bank-bank relationship, where business advisors can add sustainability dimensions to reinforce an already ongoing development dialogue, mainly with small and medium-sized clients.
Expected results and effects:
The savings banks already have working methods with local business customers that involve a close relationship and are often a dialogue partner. In addition, the bank is central to local social development. Year after year, Sparbankerna also show the highest customer satisfaction among banks in Sweden.
In the long term, the project resulted, in line with the savings bank tradition close in "relationship banking", in improved and deepened three-dimensional sustainability dialogue; which spans economic as well as social and ecological sustainability goals, with corporate clients. Approach and implementation:
The project has been organized into four work packages: WP1 project management and dissemination, WP2 theoretical basis, WP3 examines the needs, wishes and concerns of bank employees and interviews and workshops with bank officials to obtain empirical data, and learning outcomes are used for co-creative activities together with project partners. WP4 has included development, testing and assessment of proposed work routines and evaluation tools.
Alla WP´s have jointly contributed to two journal articles (in progress) as well as a tested and evaluated toolbox.
