Purpose and goal: ** Denna text är maskinöversatt ** The study "National coordination model for
attraction and reception of international competence" provides recommendations for possible models for increased national coordination between ministries, authorities, regions, business and organizations to increase the attraction for Sweden and improve the reception of people with demanded competence who choose to come to Sweden for work.
Expected results and effects: An important conclusion, which affects all the proposed coordination models in the study, is that Sweden as a country
not only lacks a national coordination of international competence attraction but also does too little in the area. The consensus around these conclusions is great among the interviewees for this study. The report of the Labor Immigration Inquiry states that an actor should be given a coordinating responsibility for the international supply of skills. This study is intended to provide guidance for this and the hope is that increased coordination will take place.
Approach and implementation:
One component of the study was interviews with representatives from authorities, companies and industry organizations as well as representatives of regions in Sweden that are active in international competence attraction. A review of
policy documents, analyzes, websites, media reporting and more has also been done. Working materials from the working group attract, retain and integrate competence have also been used. The case studies of other countries have been carried out through interviews and review of policy documents, analyzes, websites and media reporting.
