Social innovation that decreases loneliness among our elderly

The purpose of the project was to validate and develop a concept to combat the loneliness of the elderly through a scalable and nation-wide supplement to elderly care. In dialogue with the elderly and their relatives, we have developed a matching process that is based on the Stunder team´s long experience from recruitment in elderly care. A digital platform with adaptation to the elderly target group has been developed to enable scalability.

During the project period, we have gone from idea to commercial reality with good conditions to grow into a prosperous company and collected several stories of increased quality of life for our elderly customers and reduced stress and anxiety for relatives. The platform and our processes are validated and tested against the customer group with good results.

The project has been carried out with an iterative approach and through frequent dialogue with customers and other stakeholders to verify and validate the target group´s needs for maximum customer benefit. The Covid 19 pandemic has affected the work to a certain extent, for example by us switching to digital meetings to a large extent and creating routines for cooperation with nursing homes and healthcare.
