Purpose and goal:
This project sets to achieve a drastic improvement in predictability of machinability of aluminium alloys, while radically reducing the use of lubricoolant during machining. This project will deliver a model to build the correlation between machinability and material properties and design a test for developing green machining alternatives.
Green alternatives that followingly will be developed are novel tooling solution for improved lubricoolant systems and dry machining, with large cost savings and increased productivity as an effect.
