Developing therapies for New Onset Refractory Status Epilepticus

The project for which the grant was granted was to develop a proposal for HORIZON 2022 for a larger research project concerning severe and therapy-refractory status epilepticus in Europe. The grant was used as planned in the first stage but did not reach stage 2. Despite the fact that the project did not pass stage 1 (approval 6%), the proposal itself established ab international research consortium which had 14 web meetings and will be a good basis for further applications and to be able to carry out the planned research studies.

Expected results and effects: ** Denna text är maskinöversatt ** The project fully met the set goals: To complete the pilot projects concerning EEG as a biomarker (carried out in Finland) To identify another preclinical co-investigator (AIT in Salzburg was interviewed and included in the project)

To identify at least one smaller European companies (SMEs) as partners within the project (Three such companies were identified and included in the final proposal)

The project consortium carried out a large number of meetings internally and had several interviews with candidate companies where three were finally selected. Proposal submitted as planned.
