Organisational development, lifelong learning, individual competence & competence provision for employers

Purpose and goal:

The purpose of this project is to develop, test and research an innovative educational model for collaboration with the surrounding society that is based on principles and methods for work-integrated lifelong learning. Mid Sweden University´s newly established Master of Business Administration programme (with courses at both basic and advanced level) is a suitable educational program for this.

The main goal of the project is to be able to apply the model in all program and course development within the Master of Business Administration program after the project period. Expected results and effects:

The developed, tested and evaluated educational model for work-integrated learning will be fully implemented in Mid Sweden University´s Master of Business Administration program in 2024. The results from the project will be disseminated to other education programs at the University and other higher education institutions. All educational collaborating organizations in the OLIKA project should be able to implement the results of the project in their organizations, which can contribute to both individual competence development and organizational development.

Approach and implementation:

The project runs over two and a half years and consists of three phases. In the pre-design phase, research and educational competence, pedagogical methods and technical support are identified to create relevant collaborative activities. A preliminary educational model for work-integrated lifelong learning will then be further developed in the implementation and follow-up phases.

In order to capture the needs of the business community when the model is further developed, the dialogue between participating parties will be central.
