Modern learning through industrial and academic cooperation between Bergsskolan and Uddeholms AB

Purpose and goal:

The goal has been "to reach a higher level in an already established collaboration regarding both technology development and future competence provision via new contact surfaces, as well as broadened and deepened exchange". The activities carried out are completely in line with the project´s objective.

Both parties assess that the objective that were set have been met, and there are discussions about how the exchange established within the project could continue going forward. The knowledge has been raised among several employees and motivated some to continue skill development. Expected results and effects:

Uddeholm sence that there has been a broader build-up of knowledge among the employees than what is normal in collaborations with universities. Since the expert has been available for discussions and involved in the business, many material and testing-related topics have been touched upon.

This project has given Bergsskolan the opportunity to align and even to some extent adjust and develop the content of some of courses. Approach and implementation: The expert has been available for discussions and involved in the daily business at Uddeholms AB.

The collaboration has not generated publications, but was still very valuable for skill enhancement/broadening within the company. It is considered to have been of great benefit to have a "speaking partner" in deeper discussions. The expert has been available to everyone regardless of knowledge level, which has been very valuable.

This project has given Bergsskolan the opportunity to adjust and also to some extent adjusted and developed the content of the courses held by Bergsskolan.
