Purpose and goal:
The project aims to develop secondary methods for calibration of dynamic pressure sensors to complement the primary methods available today. The aim of the project is to develop a secondary system for calibration of dynamic pressure sensors that overlaps the area between shock tubes, "Drop weight devices" and static calibration
Expected results and effects:
Expected results from the project are that dynamic pressure sensors will be possible to calibratein pressure and frequency ranges that lie between the ranges that can be reached via existing primary methods. In addition the secondary method is expected to be less labor-intensive than existing primary methods.
Expected long-term effects are that pressure measurements can be traceable within a continuous pressure-frequency range. Approach and implementation:
The project will begin with a design study followed by the design and construction of an actual measurement system. Completed system will be compared to existing primary methods. Results will be communicated via publications and a concluding workshop.
