Purpose and goal:
The purpose of the planning project CCMM is to engage the industry to identify what Swedish excellent research in marine materials could contribute to a competitive sustainable industry. CCMM strategy in the planning process is to identify and clarify the needs that will support
and lead us to a 100% use of sustainable materials, to be well under the ecological capacity where the use of non-renewable materials no longer are in use. Expected results and effects:
Sustainable industry and Digital transformation in 2024 together with 38 companies (23% abroad) and with support from 2 regions.
The project also produced a strategic roadmap for marine materials that will form the basis for continued work. The roadmap will be presented at EMD2023, where the project has managed to get a workshop granted (24 workshops, 137 applicants). The project has also submitted a project application to Horizon Europe with 28 partners to strengthen the networks within Europe between test sites for marine materials.
Approach and implementation:
The project conducted interviews with 30 different companies at the start of the project and then the project held a joint workshop where research areas were identified which then went on to create so-called living labs for each material area as well as cross-cutting areas.
