Purpose and goal:

The purpose of writing a Proposal together with swedish and european Partners was achieved with a successfull submission in the end. Furthermore, the design of a production line solution with a high level of digitalization was also achieved, summarized in the concept "DIGI4SOLAR". The proposal assured also a functional integration of IT and OT, including the planning of activities related to 4 digital tools: "DIGI4FISH", "DIGI4BEER", "DIGI4FARM" and "DIGI4SOLAR".

Expected results and effects:

DIGI4FOOD results include: 5 production lines, 4 digital tools, 3 digital twins, 4 LCA studies, 4 DEMOs located in two different countries (Sweden and Portugal). This approach will further promote market penetration of these technologies, contributing to the development of integrated systems where different actors can be involved to boost the competitiveness of the Swedish manufacturing industry, which will be the specific case of ABB robots and solar concentrating collectors of Absolicon.

Approach and implementation:

A full description of how the Project will be managed and implemented is described in Section 3 of the Project, including following sections: Work plan and resources (3.1) Work package description (3.1b) Deliverables (3.2) Management structure, milestones and procedures (3.3.1) Consortium expertise (3.3.2). A total of 684 Person Months of effort is considered in the Project dividing all the tasks into 8 Work Packages, including WP8 (Project & Innovation Management, Quality and Risk Assessment).
