Purpose and goal:
It was a need for an overall picture of the formal assignments that various entities in guidance at European, national, regional and local level have. It was important and necessary to identify gaps in the guidance area and make suggestions for improvements. Based on the data collected, the working group has jointly
identified gaps and shortcomings that can occur when several different actors have assignments that to some extent overlap or where no entity has a needed assignment. Expected results and effects: Our key recommendations
In order to achieve a lifelong guidance learning to reach its full potential for an inclusive and accessible guidance the following recommendations should be taken into account: -Strengthen the mechanisms for collaboration between authorities and other stakeholders -Harmonize instructions and assignments
-Offer orientation and developed support for the individual -Examine the conditions for a national e-guidance service -Improve the conditions for counselors as a professional group Approach and implementation: Mapping of assignments and perspectives
There was a need for an overall picture of the formal assignments held by various entities in guidance at European, national, regional and local level. The same applied to current studies and
reports, both national and international, which could identify any gaps in the guidance area, or make suggestions for improvements. Linköping University has on behalf of the working group, mapped the organization of guidance and compiled regulations within the guidance area.
