Purpose and goal:
The objective project is to develop a new online tool that will provide paper mills with continuous information on changes in freeness in real-time. A property that describes the properties and quality of the pulp. With the help of acoustic spectroscopy, we develop a technology that gives mills the opportunity to continuously monitor and adjust their process and margin to increase their production rate and quality, which gives great positive effects for the end product with higher, smoother paper quality and lower scrap, etc.
Expected results and effects:
The result will contribute to a strong commercial and knowledge exchange for the participating companies and between the participating countries. Above all, it will mean an increased raw material yield of up to 10%, more energy-efficient production and significant opportunities for the forest industry globally to reduce its climate impact.
Approach and implementation:
The consortium consists of Acosense (project manager coordinator) and the research company MoRe (partner) from Sweden and SE-AMP/Suzano and EMBRAPII / CEIA in Brazil.
