Purpose and goal:
The eSHARE project has accomplished its main objective of creating an MVP prototype for a patient-centric and secure eID wallet and successfully contributing to the development of the consortium partners´ strategies for their e-services within health care. It has also been successful in building know-how regarding the health care services and ecosystems, as well as supporting the consortium partners to build their network in the two countries to further strengthen the research and innovation for digital transformation, thus constructing a base for further collaboration.
Expected results and effects:
The project results include; a research-based design of a safe and secure eID wallet solution contextualising the legal and semantic needs of Brazil, expandable to Europe, and mapping of municipality primary, secondary, and tertiary care services, and the issues in the current landscape. It also resulted in an understanding of the know-how and working methods of heterogeneous teamwork.
The results of the project in some aspects exceeded the expectations of the consortium partners and in other aspects did not meet the initial expectations, due to the complexity of the problem. Approach and implementation:
eShare primary ambition was a proof-of-concept for Electronic Health Record Management. During the project, the research teams explored the complexity of EHR management, including comprehending the gaps in knowledge regarding the digital transformation of municipal healthcare. Hence, the project later focussed heavily on exploring the current landscape of the complete health ecosystem, including the issues at all care levels.
This enabled the project to understand future issues to tackle in the roadmap of digital transformation, which is disseminated through research.
