Matchmaking Indo-Swedish call

Purpose and goal:

The project´s purpose and goals were successfully achieved. By organizing more than 40 matchmaking meetings with over 60 SMEs and researchers from Sweden and India, several concrete collaborations and long-term partnerships were established. The matchmaking process was effective and well-received, and the project contributed to a better understanding of the markets, laying the foundation for future innovations and collaborations.

Expected results and effects:

The project exceeded expectations by organizing more than 40 matchmaking meetings and several delegation trips, which created strong foundations for long-term collaborations between Sweden and India. The results included concrete partnerships and an increased understanding of the respective markets. This has paved the way not only for future innovations but also for a potential joint Centre of Excellence for sustainable urban development.

Approach and implementation:

Our analysis shows that the project’s structure and execution were well-organized and effective, enabling collaboration between Swedish and Indian actors. The goals were achieved, but longer matchmaking meetings could have deepened the partnerships. Additionally, systematic follow-up could ensure that initial contacts lead to sustainable projects. The setup was successful, but there is room for improvement in future initiatives
