The purpose of the proposed knowledge overview is to answer the question of how legal regulation can contribute to a social housing policy that creates good housing conditions for all.
The aim is to present a thematic compilation of previous research on legal regulation significant to the social dimensions of housing.
With legal-oriented studies, we refer to research that has the law, legal constructions, and the application of law or the legal system as the object of study. Comparative studies are included to enable comparative and international perspectives. The overview is implemented in four distinct phases: planning, implementation, review and reporting.
The project group involves two professors (public law and welfare law) and a librarian. The application is a development of ongoing work to create a systematic overview of knowledge in the subject.
In the present project, the material will, as a first step, be expanded so that it also includes texts from the period April 2020 to August 2022.
This will be followed by review, thematic processing, evaluation and synthesis of the selected publications, as well as report writing and dissemination of results to a wider readership.
The project will end with a forward-looking workshop in which various societal actors invested in creating a sustainable housing policy are invited to discuss how previous knowledge can be used to meet the challenge of ensuring access to good housing for all.
