Vision of the North

Purpose and goal:

The project intended to develop new visions for Luleå as a city and municipality, working together with local stakeholders on site. The goal was to work responsibly and concrete to create an innovative vision for how Luleå can be developed based on current and future conditions. Both innovatively creative and rationally feasible.

Through three days of work on site, communication with municipal officials and meetings with civil society, concrete and innovative proposals for societal development have been presented. Expected results and effects:

The result consists of concrete and innovative ideas for societal development in the Luleå region. They were presented at ArkDes in June to a larger audience and are published on the sustainable city´s website.

The expected effect is to, together with the municipalities, take the work further in continued research projects and that the municipalities can independently implement ideas and proposals in future planning of the region´s development. Approach and implementation: First phase: Analysis of preconditions and conversations with municipal representatives.

Second phase: Site visits, meetings, workshops and sketching on site in Luleå / Boden for three days. Third phase: Developed sketching and production of presentation material
