IK Fyrklövern VFT 2022_2023

Purpose and goal:

IK Fyrklöverns Verification Support provides support to researchers, students and other employees at our four universities. Access to Verification Funds is a prerequisite in order to verify innovative ideas arising at our universities and, thus, contribute to more knowledge resources benefiting society for increased welfare and sustainable growth. During this year we will:

Establish a new verification model Increase the proportion of women who apply for and are granted funding Try new ways to provide verification support in interaction with actors outside our Innovation Office. Expected results and effects:

Within a year we will be able to see an impact on certain indicators such as an increased number of cases applying for and being granted verification funds but also an increasing proportion of women applying for and being granted funding.

In the longer term we will see an increase in the number of evaluated ideas and also an increase in output, eg IP and handovers to holding companies/incubators. There will be an increased number of cases, more granted to lower amounts, increased influx of ideas, earlier and faster closing, resource efficiency and an increased

gender equality Approach and implementation:

Our new verification process Nascent (early / impact focused), Progressive and Advanced will be introduced from Q3 2022. At the end of Nascent, an average of KTH IRL 2 and at Progressive an average of KTH IRL 4 is reached. Under Q3 2022 - In Q2 2023, at least one case will be awarded funds in Advanced.

In addition to this, at least two cases will be tested in Crosscurrents (increased interaction between the outside world and academia) - the hypothesis is that innovative ideas originating outside the academy are reinforced with teams and co-ownership consisting of individuals from the academy.
