Grant Description

The ESA Cluster mission is currently extended through the end of 2022, with a currently proposed extension through 2025.

The Scandinavian Data Centre (SDC), part of the Cluster Science Data System (CSDS), is located and run by the Space and plasma physics group at KTH.

SDC produces CSDS data from the electric field and wave instrument (EFW) and distributes these data to the other data centres of CSDS. SDC also receives data from the other Cluster instruments and distributes these to the Scandinavian community.

The Space and plasma group are also heavily involved in the operations of the EFW instrument, and attend Science Operations Working Group (SOWG) and Science Working Team (SWT) meetings as EFW Co-I and Wave Experiment Consortium (WEC) chairman.
