Samverket a key to a Fossil Free Sweden

Purpose and goal:

Fossilfree Sweden is working to increase the pace of the climate transition and to make Sweden one of the world´s first fossil-free welfare nations. By participating in Samverket, Fossilfritt Sverige has strengthened its role as a neutral meeting place for various actors in aim of finding new ways forward to speed up climate change. More collaboration in new ways between public actors is necessary to solve several of our current societal challenges.

Expected results and effects:

Through our participation in Samverket, we have been inspired to test new forms of work and meet new actors to collaborate with. We have, among other things, started a new work area to promote cooperation between authorities which is crucial to speed up the climate transition. A challenge for us has been to find members who are there to discuss issues that are relevant to our mission, even though the participating organizations have been ones with which we seek increased cooperation.

Therefore, instead of applying to Samverket´s members, we have invited relevant actors to the premises. Approach and implementation:

During the project, we have used Samverket as a meeting place both for the methods we brought with us from before but also to test new ways to increase cooperation between authorities and companies. This has meant several round-table discussions, open talks and seminars. We have also used the meeting place to tell other interested members about our way of working.
