Electric, shared, autonomous vehicles II

Purpose and goal:

The project intended to, through dialogue between the project´s partners and other stakeholders, identify which questions are most interesting and relevant to study further regarding self-driving shared vehicles and how this can be done.

This has been achieved through an internal project workshop as well as several working meetings, a strategic analysis of both research projects and industrial projects and a round table discussion with external stakeholders. Based on these discussions, proposals and recommendations for continued work have been formulated.

Expected results and effects: Three steps are recommended for further work regarding the analysis of self-driving shared vehicles:

1. A mapping of the potential for shared self-driving vehicles, both geographically and based on different types of users.

2. An analysis of which policies become relevant to use when shared self-driving vehicles are introduced in order for them to contribute to the city´s sustainability goals.

3.Based on the mapping and analysis of policies above, different scenarios can be defined that seem interesting to test, which can then be analyzed, for example, with the help of simulation Approach and implementation:

Trivector has led the work with support from Malmö University (MAU)/K2, while Västtrafik and Trafikkontoret Göteborg have participated in a series of working meetings and a workshop with the aim of identifying needs and appropriate approaches. A strategic analysis has been carried out, where relevant research has been analyzed and compiled and knowledge has been gathered about completed and ongoing projects related to self-driving vehicles in Sweden.

Dialogue has also taken place with other actors relevant to the project´s issues, including in the form of a round table discussion.
