Purpose and goal:
The goal of the project was to create a research-based methodology for organizing and conducting hybrid meetings, which supports organizations´ realization of digital flexible working practices.
This objective has been fulfilled by creating 7 reflection guides, 4 workshop guides and 1 template for discussion which are now available in Swedish and English via an open website https://sites.mdu.se/inpro-hym. What our guides offer is the opportunity to increase one´s own competence and thus be able to adapt one´s own practice to different circumstances and needs.
Expected results and effects:
The participants in the project have developed a deeper understanding of the interaction between people, technology, space and work practices in hybrid meetings and disseminated the results in the organizations (a municipality and a multinational company).
Organizations in Sweden and abroad can also support competence-enhancing efforts for sustainable, digital, flexible and inclusive working practices since the guides and template are available in both Swedish and English. Various actors have been able to raise their own competence through courses, events and web pages.
Approach and implementation:
The project has built on design methodology and a co-creative approach to develop relevant knowledge. The participants have worked in various workshops, have made own observations, have documented working practices and tested prototypes of the final product. The researchers have analyzed the material that has been produced and mobilized relevant theory.
Through this process, we have identified the need to go beyond general advice and instead create an opportunity for deeper understanding and for reflection by pausing and analyzing one´s own practice.
