Purpose and goal:
This year´s cluster conference, which was the twelfth in a row, focused on fossil-free production, efficient resource utilization and smart maintenance. All these areas depend on innovative manufacturing processes. By bringing together experts in advanced and sustainable manufacturing, the participants at the conference could benefit from lessons learned from various project that have been initiated by the various clusters. The conference review was positive, according to the 140 participants during the two days.
Expected results and effects:
Technology dissemination and networking were carried out during the two conference days, and initiatives were taken for future collaborations. Approach and implementation:
The conference started with Andreas Frössberg, CEO of Sveriges Bilåtervinnares Riksförbund, and Freddie Nilsson, Manufacturing Manager for Salvage, Volvo Parts AB, talking about material supply through recycling and remanufacturing.
The first day ended with Strategy Board for the production clusters discussing "Productivity and competence challenges for a sustainable future". During both days, more than fifty parallel lectures were also held in themes such as smart maintenance, circular manufacturing and sustainable surface treatment.
