Purpose and goal:
The aim of the project was to create transparent conductive films from Bright Day Graphene´s (BDG) bio-based graphene and to laser treat them to see if the conductivity of the films could be improved. This was done together with Uppsala University and Entangly. The project has not succeeded in proving that this is possible.
Expected results and effects:
The expected result was not achieved as we failed to produce graphene films where the graphene was in contact. This was due to agglomeration of the graphene. The samples were instead tested with impedance before and after laser treatment, but the difference was too small. Raman measurements has taught us the conditions where the laser has a positive effect on the material and when it becomes destructive.
Approach and implementation:
The project was carried out as a collaboration with BDG, which made graphene from lignin, Uppsala University, which produced films and made current/voltage curves on them, and Entangly, which treated the samples with lasers of different strengths. Impedance and Raman measurements were made on the samples before and after laser treatment by Entangly and BDG respectively.
