Purpose and goal:
EATRIS ERIC is a European research infrastructure that aims to accelerate the development of new drug treatments, diagnostic tools and other medical products. EATRIS ERIC consists of research institutes and universities distributed across Europe that provide resources and services to research communities to improve research, innovation and international collaborations.
Via EATRIS ERIC, Sweden can make unique research infrastructure visible and thereby increase the opportunities to participate in major European research projects. Expected results and effects: EATRIS Sverige´s objective is to act as a bridge: -between academia and industry in Swedish life science. -between academic research and innovative solutions.
-between Swedish research infrastructure and national / international users. -between Sweden and Europe -and be involved in educations within EATRIS focus areas
Through these objective, the node will provide benefit and knowledge for researchers in academia and industry, business, students. It will also contribute to putting Swedish infrastructure on a European map for future international collaborations. Approach and implementation:
We will continue to build and consolidate the Swedish node, among other things by establishing a working group for continued Swedish strategy and co-operation between the Nordic countries´ nodes. The outreach business will be one of the most important activities. These activities will target both academia and industry by visiting universities, science parks, biotech clusters and conferences / symposia.
Through increased visibility, we can have the opportunity to offer the expertise and research infrastructure required by academia and industry to meet their needs.
