Climate- and resource-efficient LSS housing

Purpose and goal:

The innovation procurement aims to contribute to goal fulfillment of HBV´s 2030 goals regarding a climate-declared, climate-neutral and complementary circular offering within all new or updated procurements of LSS-buildings. The goal is to produce a complete procurement basis for innovation procurements for prefabricated and cast-in-situ cost-, resource- & climateefficient LSS buildings, including requirements regarding climate & resource efficiency with a life cycle perspective, and a market overview of suppliers.

Expected results and effects:

The project´s expected results are to develop a methodology for procurement of prefabricated and cast-in-situ LSS-buildings that reduces both construction costs and climate impact while increasing resource efficiency from a life cycle perspective. Innovation procurements with these characteristics is expected to have great opportunities to contribute to a more climate-smart and resource-efficient society and overcome the overall challenge in Swedish housing policy, the constant housing deficit, in this projekt the deficit of service housings.

Approach and implementation:

HBV leads the first innovation procurement and participates with project & communication resource including expertise in procurement, construction process, customer & purchasing expertise and to spread the results of innovation procurement among the public housing companies in Sweden. Expertise is procured to produce a complete procurement basis for innovation procurement, including requirements regarding climate & resource efficiency in a life cycle perspective and a market overview of suppliers.
