Grant Description

Purpose and goal:

In January 2023, we wrote "The project may be more widespread than expected". It turned out that way. We intended to increase ridesharing and reduce emissions.

For this, trust is needed, which is found in nonprofit associations. We created a platform where members of an association can rideshare. We then connected associations, so members of different associations can rideshare together.

We tested on Friluftsfrämjandet and Naturskyddsföreningen. Many new associations wanted to join. In parallel, the municipalities of Umeå and Gothenburg developed open data on ridesharing. Expected results and effects:

We developed a platform where members of different associations can rideshare. We tested on Friluftsfrämjandet and Naturskyddsföreningen.

The municipalities of Gothenburg and Umeå worked with open data. The Swedish Transport Administration participated and the data is published on Sweden´s data portal. Analyzes continue. We have pedagogy adapted to target groups: website, pictures and presentations. Legal work with agreements.

Focus on knowledge sharing: Summit at Kebnekaise, meeting in Skellefteå, etc. Associations and the public sector are interested. STF has joined. Approach and implementation:

We had four work packages divided into nine activities, adapted from Vinnova´s template. Before we applied, we made an agreement with all parties. Both of these parts contributed to clarity of expectations within the project.

Agreeing on work packages in advance made implementation easy. We knew what the goal looked like and adjusted along the way. Adjustments have been about civil society´s unique conditions. For example, we have worked with how private individuals´ data should be handled and innovated around our sector´s financial sustainability (licensing, technology, etc.).
