Purpose and goal:
The project aims to get employees in the industry to become Climate Ambassadors - inspiring and knowledgeable climate role models in their workplaces. The main target group is men, as men as a group are furthest from the climate issue today. Global Utmaning has produced a course material that provides knowledge and tools for climate action.
We will scale and develop the material, with a focus on industry and the opportunity to influence workplaces. We collaborate with actors with great knowledge of the industry and a substantial reach: IF Metall, Unionen, Adecco and CirEko. Expected results and effects: A flexible and scalable training material, used by at least 2000 people, that:
- provides knowledge about the industry of the future and how the climate transition affects jobs and skills development, - equips users to become Climate Ambassadors in the workplace, with a commitment to include others in change measures, - makes it easy to understand how climate and gender equality issues are connected.
15 training opportunities where 450 participants get tools to become Climate Ambassadors. Curiosity about the industry of the future. Less fear and greater acceptance of climate measures. Approach and implementation:
- Further development of the course material in modules, adaptation of content for industry - among other things by producing a report on effects on the labor market of the climate transition, development of methods for action and commitment, and strengthening the gender perspective. - Anchoring at management level within the project parties communication and recruitment of climate ambassadors.
- Recruitment for - and implementation of - training opportunities for future climate ambassadors at workplaces and within trade union districts / departments.
