Delegation trip to Israel with keynote speech

Purpose and goal:

Agtech 2030 participated in a delegation trip to Israel. The aim was to give a keynote speech, participate in discussions with Swedish and Israeli companies and make study visits to innovation environments. Agtech 2030´s role was to identify opportunities for collaboration in agricultural technology.

It took place within the framework of The Connector, a collaboration between Business Sweden, Vinnova and the Swedish Embassy in Tel Aviv.

The goal was to increase knowledge of each country´s innovation ecosystem and to strengthen the connections between Swedish and Israeli actors. Expected results and effects:

The expected result was new contacts between innovation actors as well as new collaborations and innovation processes. An expected results was also increased knowledge of Israel as a country of innovation, including knowledge of innovation actors and their working methods. Furthermore, an expected results was to increase international awareness of the Agtech 2030 initiative.

The expected effects were partly to stimulate the power of innovation through new ideas and impressions, and partly to initiate cooperation between actors who met during the various meetings. Approach and implementation:

The plan was to, despite the corona, make a trip to Israel and participate in activities and study visits. The plan was to have a rented bus that took the delegation to various destinations. The arrangement worked.

But the trip started with problems as Israel required corona tests both before the trip and upon arrival. We were forced to quarantine in a hotel and it took a long time before we were released. One unexpected thing was that the program turned out to be very rich in content.

The downside was that there wasn´t much time to catch your breath or take care of important things at work.
