Travel grant: AgTech & FoodTech Delegation to Israel

The purpose and goal of the trip was to create networks and conditions for collaborations in food innovations. This was fulfilled when new contacts were made and new collaborations began to be discussed, both within the Swedish delegation and with several Israeli actors from both organizations and companies.

The result of the participation has meant that new contact networks have been created, both within the Swedish delegation and with Israeli actors. After the visit to Israel, LU has had follow-up discussions with 3 of the Swedish the actors and 2 Israeli actors, and intends to continue discussions with another Swedish actor and 2-3 Israeli actors. The outcome was above expectations and we now hope to be able to find financing opportunities to start new innovation projects with several of the actors.

The set-up and implementation was good as it provided an opportunity to both get an overview of participating actors through presentations and the opportunity to discuss more in-depth ideas and initiate different types of collaborations.
