Purpose and goal: ** Denna text är maskinöversatt **
Today, there is no system for quality assurance and specification of recycled textiles for direct raw material into mechanical and chemical processes. Required specification refers to parameters as fiber type, fiber length, chemical profile, which to a large extent affects the scope of the recycled material. Project goal
1 conditions for a large-scale use of recycled raw materials by assisting with a framework regarding the classification of textiles for material recycling 2 assessment of materials and products´ recyclability and circulability. Expected results and effects: ** Denna text är maskinöversatt **
Establish a framework where textiles for recycling are classified based on parameters developed in close collab with technology developers and users. This framework enables efficient use of resources and gives Swedish companies concrete opportunities to work with recycled and recyclable materials with a stable quality of products produced with recycled content.
Framework for consistent and scientifically based assessment of materials and products recyclability/circulability. Input and recommendations to policy and standards development Approach and implementation: ** Denna text är maskinöversatt ** The work plan is laid out in 6 work packages and will be project managed by RISE.
AP 1 Validation of identified needs and analysis of possible existing systems in other sectors AP 2 Development of a framework regarding the classification of textiles for material recycling AP 3 Development of a framework regarding recycling and circularity AP 4 Connection to AI Digitalisering AP 5 The framework´s connection to circular business models and scaling up of recycling technologies000
