The project intends to be a contribution to a conference on work integrated learning (WIL) organized by Högskolan Väst on December 7-9, in 2022. Then researchers and societal actors meet to discuss research and societal challenges.
Recent global developments remind us of the importance of learning in a lifelong perspective to achieve quality in life in general as well as in our working life. The aim of the conference is to co-create a unique arena to develop and disseminate both research and practical examples around WIL.
Since 2002, Högskolan Väst has had the government´s mandate to develop WIL, and since then a lot has happened with the growth and maturity of WIL as a profile and scientific discipline.
The goal of the project is to contribute to fulfilling Högskolan Väst´s strategy by positioning the WIL community as nationally leading and internationally recognized. The conference is in English and in hybrid form.
The target group is researchers from Sweden and the rest of the world where WIL has a foothold and where related research exists.
The target group is assumed to have interdisciplinary perspectives from subjects such as pedagogy, social science, organization, business administration, informatics, educational science, as well as social actors with cross-sector ambitions who want to collaborate and learn together through WIL.The conference contains well-known international keynote speakers, unique research presentations by researchers and doctoral students, interactive panel discussions with societal actors and collaborative partners.
The conference follows a qualitative assessment process and is disseminated through a conference book and the possibility of subsequent publication in a scientific journal.Organization of the conference is managed by a program committee consisting of five professors from University West as well as an organization committee with communication and event managers at University West.
