System demonstrator Lund

Aim and objective was to identify with a large number actors which steps need to be taken jointly in energy and mobility to take the climate work to the next level in Lund, as well as develop a plan to establish a system demonstrator. This has been carried out during the course of the project. A geography for the system demonstrator has been defined and actors internal and external (property owners, employers and solution providers) have been involved in planning for efforts, structure, objective, actions and form for the future system demonstrator.

Expected results and effects:

The result of the project is a concept for a system demonstrator in Lund. This concept includes joint efforts in transportation/mobility, as well as energy and what we call "urban sharing", that is, using the geographical location for community and the power of change.

Another very important results is the network and collaborative forward momentum created through the process, where we now have around thirty unique actors involved in the work, sixteen of whom have currently signed the joint Declaration of Intent. The expected effect is to be able to produce a proposal during the spring

Approach and implementation:

The municipal office led the project, with a hired consultant as project support. The project group contacted all companies via email and telephone and booked meetings. In parallel, an overall process ran where workshops were carried out, as well as in-depth meetings in both energy and mobility.

Early on, many common needs could be identified, which also seem to be beyond the disposal of the individual company = a great need for a third group within the future system demonstrator with a focus on coordination, onboarding, etc. The closing meeting = start-up meeting for the continued process
