Smart City World Expo and Business Forum 2022

Purpose and goal:

The purpose of the project was to plan and implement the Smart City Business Forum on November 14, 2022, and Swedish participation in the Nordic pavilion on November 15-17 at the Smart City World Expo in Barcelona. The goal was to get a large Swedish participation and offer its actors an opportunity to show off their progress in Sweden, to learn from other international actors, expand networks and form new partnerships.

More than 100 actors from Sweden actively participated in the events, with more than 350 Nordic actors in the pavilion and over 400 European participants at Business Forum. Expected results and effects:

In addition to the number of participants per se, a positive results was that we had spread participation from cities, government programme, regions, research institutions and not least companies and startups. Otherwise, customer satisfaction is reported in a specially attached document. Approach and implementation:

The Nordic pavilion was planned and carried out, as in previous years, by a Nordic team with Innovation Norway, Business Finland and this year Latvian Investment Agency. Denmark did not get organized participation, but the majority of Danish actors were involved in programme and workshops etc. Business Forum was planned and implemented together with the Dutch RVO. Several other organizations took responsibility for individual workshops.
