Preliminary study immersive gaming - talent attraction towards USA

Purpose and goal:

The project aims to create increased collaboration between computer game industry, industry and XR developers in Sweden and the US, to achieve increased international exchange and talent attraction. It is run as a feasibility study where the main purpose is to build initial relationships, perform strategic analysis and create a basis for enabling larger implementation projects.

The project has already rendered results in the form of an intended Hackathon in collaboration between Swedish students and global industry-leading actors within XR / AI. Expected results and effects:

About 30 meetings were held with potential partners, suppliers of technology and software as well as industry players of importance to Sweden´s work to position themselves within XR and attract talent, capital and business. The personal relationships built up during the stay will make it easier to both plan and implement participation during AWE USA 2023 and ensure that participating Swedish companies can book and carry out the meetings and deals that are of the greatest importance to them. Furthermore, we have gained insights into how Sweden can / should position itself during AWE -23

Approach and implementation: The project was carried out as follows: - Research and analysis of actors of importance to meet, evaluate and / or create relationships with - Booking of meetings and planning of stay - Travel, trade fair participation and conducting meetings - Documentation, notes, insights etc.
