Listen up! Data-driven predictive maintenance and operations

Purpose and goal:

The purpose is to increase use of data for predictive maintenance and optimized operation. Based on two leading asset owners and users, their needs, better methods, analysis tools and decision support will be developed.

The strategy is to establish an innovation ecosystem, of independent tech providers complementing each other for broader customer value than what each one delivers. The goal is that data is integrated by several adjacent technology suppliers and integration of others data or alternatively develop own customer interface with the help of others.

Expected results and effects:

The expected result of the project is an increased collaboration between different, small, fragmented technology suppliers with isolated proprietary technology, which gives the effect of clearer and increased customer benefit, with district heating and other process industries as end customers. Approach and implementation:

Conceptual arrangement is based on facility owners/users, technology suppliers, complementary participating in the project, together with consulting researchers. The internal group turns outwards for external collaboration. Implementation is managed in five work packages: Project management, User perspective (incl. gender), External search for partners, Internal development as back-up, and Dissemination to others, via IEA and national industry associations.
