Purpose and goal:
We have, in our feasibility study, showed how a human centric healthcare infrastructure, can can contribute to more efficient and more qualitative care. With patients in control of their own data, we facilitate safe and ethical sharing of data. In this preliminary study, we have focused on the utilization of self-generated and clinical data in the fields of Parkinson´s and Stroke. The infrastructure can, thanks to its architecture, be scaled up to include all diagnostic areas.
Expected results and effects:
We have identified the components required to realize a more efficient patient journey with clear cost savings and health benefits, based on better utilization of data. Tests has been carried out with good result.
With the new ways of managing and sharing data, the individual is expected to gain better control over their health situation, and it is ensured that all relevant actors get access to the same data, which leads to increased quality of care and reduced administrative burden on healthcare personnel. Approach and implementation:
To understand the current state of healthcare, we have mapped the patient journeys. Together with stakeholders from the healthcare sector, we have discussed relevant issues regarding the use of health data from a technical, legal and organizational aspect. We have described and tested a future patient journey that includes preventive care.
To demonstrate the technical feasibility, we conducted a Hackathon where the data intermediation layer was successfully integrated with a commercial health application (Healfy).
