Purpose and goal:
The purpose of the feasibility study for InCalmMind was to identify the system demonstrator, which best can catalyse the battery value chain to be sustainably circular. This was achieved and it has been identified as a hydro metallurgical lab in the junction where recycling of secondary resources and processing of primary resources meet. Just as important has been the discussions and meetings within the consortia and other contacts taken to broaden the basis for the implementation project.
Expected results and effects:
The result of the feasibility study is that we now have a project idea and partner base to build on to get the Swedish battery value chain to be sustainably circular both in theory and practice. An application for the implementation project has been sent.
The expected effect of this is that Sweden till year 2030 is well equipped with a circular battery value chain where recycling of secondary material streams and processing of primary streams meet. Approach and implementation:
The project has been carried out through meetings via link and three physical workshops. Through a mission-driven approach, a demonstrator was identified in the form of a lab that catalyzes and links the material streams into a circular sustainable battery value chain.
The implementation project´s proposal was due on 14 September (before the end date of the feasibility study), which made us choose to continue and deepen the discussion with additional parties as part of the implementation project.
